Emerging from lockdown

First significant progress from my point of view was being able to meet up with family from England for the first time in seven months, by way of a weekend visit from son and family a month ago. This was a successful episode, not least because it reassured me that young grandchildren had not forgotten my existence after all!

The next event in the diary is that I am booked for a haircut tomorrow, first time in six months.

Small steps towards normality, but I suspect there is a long way to go yet. Normally at this time I would be going for longer walks in Snowdonia, but the well publicized pressures from tourism this year means I can’t do that in practice, nowhere to park and virtually no buses to the places I want to access. Better luck in September perhaps.
